She is survived by 1 son, Riley (Maria) Holliday; 2 daughters, Rachel (Reggie) Stanford and Joretta (John) Tuck; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Geneva Cummingham; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Holliday was the oldest of 9 children.

Mrs. Rachel Hurt Holliday, age 99, Dora, Alabama, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Ridgeview Nursing Home, Jasper, Alabama.

Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2010 at Fulton Bridge Baptist Church. Asher Tingler and Brannon Nix officiating. Burial in Fulton Bridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Holliday was born February 23, 1910, in Mississippi, to the late Ryde and Mary Childs Hurt. She was a Homemaker.
